A registered disinfectant

The use of a registered disinfectant is in some countries a legal obligation, in others a warranty for a good final result. Halamid® is such a registered disinfectant : we have national registrations for Halamid® in numerous countries for different applications.

Axcentive is fully responsible for the inclusion of Halamid® into the relevant directives and lists of approved products. Halamid is one of the most widely registered disinfectants and our data on toxicity, ecotoxicity, application and exposure accumulated over 60 years of development and market presence enable us to support this status. Many authorities worldwide have listed Halamid® as an approved disinfectant and continuously new approvals are added.

In Europe, Axcentive prepared a dossier to support Halamid® according to the Biocidal Product Directive (98/8/EC) for the product types 2, 3, 4 and 5. This makes Halamid® a Europe-wide registered disinfectant for virtually all relevant disinfectant applications. This dossier is currently under review by the authorities. Until finalization of the BPD program, the national registrations apply.
