Halamid® is an oxidizing product. Its action is based on an irreversible destruction of the envelope and cell material of microorganisms. This disinfection by oxidation ensures that microorganisms are effectively killed and do not have a chance to develop resistance to Halamid®.
Some bacteria are prone to develop resistance to certain disinfectants, in particular with some quaternaries ammonium compounds. In applications such as food industry and hospitals where disinfectants are used on a daily basis, this is obviously a major problem not encountered with Halamid® .
YOU DON'T NEED TO ROTATE DESINFECTANT WHEN USING HALAMID®: IT CAN BE USED ALL YEAR LONG WITH NO RISK OF BUILDING UP RESISTANT MICROORGANISMS .
